Biography

Norman Mullin

President Enviro-Ag Engineering, Inc., Managing Member-CafoPro.com, LLC

Norman was raised the son of a water well driller from Turkey, Texas. This invaluable experience equipped him for hard work and problem solving. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Norman spent time in the energy industry as a drilling and completion engineer. However, agriculture was his passion and in 1993 he co-founded Enviro-Ag Engineering, Inc. as one of the few private agricultural engineering firms working for the private sector.

Norman has been involved in the development of numerous large-scale concentrated animal feeding operations including beef, dairy, swine and poultry throughout the U.S.  These projects included site selection, permitting, surveying facilities design and on-going regulatory compliance.  Additionally, Norman has taken Enviro-Ag Engineering into new areas including groundwater evaluation as it relates to crop selection and nutrient management and sustainability.

Norman saw the need for this expertise in the dairy industry located in central Texas (within the impaired Bosque River watershed) to open an office in Stephenville, Texas in to better serve the industry in this highly controversial and political watershed.  That office is responsible for over 120 clients in the central and east Texas areas.  Enviro-Ag acquired an existing firm in New Mexico and moved that office to Artesia where it serves approximately 100 clients.

Today, Enviro-Ag Engineering, Inc. has a staff of 20 degreed professionals specializing in engineering, agronomy, animal science and business by providing our clients with a broad range of consulting services.  These services include complete dairy design, environmental and regulatory assessments, site selection, permitting, surveying, facilities design and regulatory compliance throughout the U.S. and the world.

To enhance regulatory compliance documentation, Norman developed a cloud-based, online regulatory compliance program called CafoPro.  In addition to State and Federal record keeping requirements, CafoPro has expanded its abilities to include documenting sustainability matrices and air emission calculations through the ability to connect to existing animal management and feed programs such as the VAS platforms.
